About me
Wendy Somerset Briggs is a Fine Artist based in SW London who graduated from Northumbria University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. Her work has always circled around the idea of transience. Her recent work focuses on places of personal significance marked by presence and absence, and to the visible and invisible traces left behind through time. Wendy's paintings are about memory and the emotional resonance of location, where surfaces, light and structure become carriers of experience. Through layering and colour, Wendy seeks to make visible what lingers after a moment has passed.
